The NOWIE Work Experience project aims to help and support newcomers to the industry by connecting them with reputable companies who are able to offer paid work to give them their first foot through the door.

ARE you seeking your first foot in the door in events?

Here at NOWIE we know it can sometimes feel impossible to build up your events experience, and it can be tricky to know where to start! The NOWIE Work Experience project allows you to sign-up as enthusiastic events staff, and we’ll then pass your details on directly to leading events organisations looking for staff this summer.

One application, sent out to multiple opportunities; giving you the leg up you need to break into the industry.

2024 PARTNERS ANNOUNCED SOON!

ARE you an events ORganisation or supplier?

Are you looking to source quality talent to support your work this Summer? Would you like to increase the gender diversity of your workforce? Do you believe in supporting newcomers in our industry?

The NOWIE Work Experience project supports companies like yours by gathering applicants en masse for your entry-level roles. We’ll do the leg-work of sourcing the talent, and then pass their details over to you to lock in the finer details with applicants!

Please note - applications are now closed for summer 23, however we welcome registrations of interest for our second cohort.

NOWIE isn’t responsible for recruitment as this is led by each partner organisation we’re working with so we’re not able to answer specific questions about the progress of your application.

  • As much as we would love to be able to guarantee this, we at NOWIE aren’t playing any role in the actual recruitment decisions of individual partner organisations. You might find that on this occasion, you’re not paired up with any work. If this is the case please don’t be disheartened! There is plenty of work to go around in our industry. Keep an eye on the NOWIE Facebook group and LinkedIn page where we regularly share job opportunities for our community.
