Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Lead (committee role)

We feel passionately about opportunities in our industry being fair and equitable. This role will cover both improving our own NOWIE recruitment processes and ensuring our activity and projects are accessible and relevant for all women working in events. Ideally you’ll come from an HR background and have experience in a similar role. 


Fundraising & Partnerships Manager(s)

This might be one person or two so please let us know if you’d be interested in tackling one or both of these areas. Income generation will be a key focus for us in 2024 so we’re looking for someone who has experience in this area, including a great book of contacts and creativity around campaigns.

NOWIE is run by a team of volunteers who are supported by a wider network of contributors.

Some roles and opportunities arise, for those who aren’t able to dedicate regular contributions, which could involve speaking at our events, being extra hands on the day of big event, becoming a mentor or even supporting our marketing team with ad-hoc projects.

    • Creating and delivering overall marketing plan

    • Managing all online content across our social media platforms

    • Identifying of promotional opportunities

    • Liaising across all other departments to post and promote their content

    • Upkeeping the website, newsletter and blog

    • Liaising with our current sponsors

    • Analysing data

    • Maintaining excellent industry relationships

    • Collating large volumes of information

    • Working on sponsorship packages and proposals

    • Ensuring all NOWIE’s sponsors obligations are met

    • Assisting in planning new projects and programmes

    • Liaising with partners, sponsors and other departments

    • Delivering projects and measuring success

    • The projects team will soon be our biggest department, under which the Mentorship Programme falls. There are lots of exciting upcoming programmes and projects for 2023

    • Creating and delivering our NOWIE events (networking, celebrations, educational, panels, webinars etc)

    • Managing supplier relationships

    • Identifying new opportunities for events and partnerships

    • Event delivery
